Radio Box Kit.
You’re going to love this radio box. Many happy customers with this
item. The radio box and servo tray are made
of thermoformed high impact ABS that withstands gasoline exposure and is easy
to work with. Screwing & Gluing to this box works very well. And because it’s plastic, you won’t be
fighting with that leaky wood box anymore – not to mention assembly of a wood
radio box is something for model airplane builders. The tub itself has a recess to allow easier
placement of your driveline under the radio box. The kit includes a pre-cut servo tray, so all
you have to do is screw in your servos whether standard sized or ¼ scale. You tell me
which pattern to cut and they’ll be precision router cut for you. If you prefer to do the cutting just say so
and you’ll get a blank servo tray. The
servo tray and radio box are engineered to be held in place with simply 2 screws
that screw through the servo tray and radio box and into your 5” spaced
stringers. And yes, because of where the
load plane from your servo torque is, 2 screws is all
it needs. The lid is held in place with
radio box tape (not included) forming a watertight seal around the entire lid
without the hassle of screws and gaskets.
If you seal up your wiring & pushrod exits, and properly grease your
flexible throttle cable – this radio box will effectively keep your electronics
dry in case of submersion. I’ve had my
boats nose up in the water numerous times and never swamp my radio gear. (but I’ve seen lots
of wood ones full of water). Look at the
